Dr. Rakovchik ...a compassionate and loving family man, whom has been a resident in the Dallas area for many years. Having a strong passion for the sciences at a young age, he decided to pursue a career in medicine. After studying Biology at UT-Dallas, he attended the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and developed an interest in bio-mechanics and disease, prompting him to pursue residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Baylor College of Medicine. This was followed by a fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
His recent journey has lead him to become the founder of Remed Regenerative Medicine in Dallas, Texas and utilize his impressive resume and experiences to reverse chronic joint degeneration. Dr. Rakovchik realizes that every patient is more than just a diagnosis and strives to provide holistic care by combining Eastern and Western philosophies on health and wellness. In his spare time, when he’s not researching the latest holistic therapies, he enjoys reading, swimming and pursuing a yoga practice and most of all spending time with his wife and son.
Dr. Michael Jenks received his medical degree and family medicine residency training at University of California, San Diego Medical School. After medical training, he transferred to Tucson, Arizona and served active duty in the United States Air Force as a military doctor. While on active duty, he was deployed to Saudi Arabia to serve the medical needs of the troops stationed at the military base. After completing his military tour of duty, he moved to Abilene, Texas and served as medical director of two urgent care facilities. He provided primary and urgent care to the community.
Dr. Jenks moved to Dallas in 2012 to open his private practice and continued his mission to provide comprehensive medical care to the Dallas community. Dr. Jenks is passionate about not only determining the best treatment options for his patients, but also providing education to allow his patients to actively participate in their health care.
Dr. Windisch is a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine. He graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. Dr. Windisch is trained in and uses Diversified Adjusting Technique, Chiropractic Acupuncture, Acupressure, Gua Sha, Cupping, Instrument Adjusting, Myofascial release (hand and instrument,) Nimmo receptor tonus technique (myofascial and trigger point technique), exercise and physical therapy modalities. Dr. Windisch has worked as a Doctor for the American Century Celebrity Golf Tournament.
Prior to joining ReMed, Dr. Windisch was a Director of Rehabilitation for an office in Northern Texas. He has performed rehabilitation on people who have been in car accidents, slip and falls, private practice patients and post-surgical patients.
Dr. Windisch lived in Carson City Nevada and had a private practice for nearly 20 years. He is now proud to call Texas his home and looks forward to many more years of practice in the Lone Star State.
Derek Southers was born in Vincennes, Indiana and has lived in the Dallas area most of his life. He has treated and rehabbed professional athletes in the NFL and MLB including the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys.
He possesses several Nutrition and Sports related certifications to enhance his ability to treat the human body without the use of medications. In addition, he was an instructor for the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
In 2012 he began his internship with Dr. Gumm for the treatment of neuropathy and over the last four years, his success with reversing neuropathy has been outstanding.
With a 95% success rate, his passion is focused on helping others regardless of circumstance, and teaching people how to lead healthier and therefore happier lives.
