Spinal Decompression
Spinal decompression is a treatment that works well for treating back and neck pain caused by conditions like herniated discs, sciatica and spinal stenosis. It is also effective for treating injuries that have caused the discs in your spine to become compressed.
Surgery is a possible solution but is an invasive process that comes with risks, including the possibility of failure. At Remed Pain & Wellness Clinic, our doctors offer spinal decompression treatment as a drug-free, surgery-free alternative.

How Decompression Therapy Works
Spinal decompression is a treatment that gently stretches your spine to help restore the proper amount of space between your vertebrae.
It is a form of traction that utilizes a motorized table that is separated into two parts. Once you are on the table, a harness is wrapped around your hips and then attached to the bottom part of the table.
Your upper body is also secured to the table, and then the lower half of the table moves back and forth to facilitate the spinal stretching.
When you have decompression treatment, the natural healing process is set in motion as your discs receive oxygen and nutrients.
Fluid is also brought into the discs to help rehydrate them and restore their natural shape.
After repeating cycles of stretching and relaxation, the pressure that exists between your discs will lessen, and your pain will be reduced. The session is brief, and there is no downtime after a treatment.
